Spunky is 22yrs old, huge vocab, and Female she loves nuts and dried fruit and seed mixes, not fond of the vit pellets but will eat them eventually, swears, prefers men but has bonded with me, is good with kids, nips only when stressed, like to sleep with her cage covered and apparently she thinks bed time is 8;30. SHe likes to snuggle covered up. She is ok with cats and dogs, and is fine with the other birds. She does scream but if told to whisper she will. She is not destructive when left out and has lived much of her life out of her cage. water sprayer has been used as punishment is not able to spray her like that for a bath, very affectionate. does not really fly but her wings are not clipped. she is a good climber, she can: step up, get down, let go, whisper, repeat words, etc.. you can cover her and pick her up. she has a great personality. needs lots of attention but can self sooth. she builds little nests by pulling her blanket through the bars and hides in there. She has her full crest, fuzzy wing feathers. she breaks of the long wing and tail feathers. bald neck, belly and legs. she is starting to let me preen her but is still nervous.

Spunky is a 22 year old female Umbrella Cockatoo. Spunky prefers men but can be handled by women as well and also appears to tolerate children well provided they aren’t running or yelling near her. She is also accustomed to other birds and other kinds of pets. Spunky has a huge vocabulary and is an excellent talker but like many ‘toos, she has plucked her belly and legs naked – she does however tend to feather up again once a routine is established. Perhaps most significant is that early in her life, Spunky was exposed to serious domestic violence and will need a patient, caring owner who will show her compassion and understanding when she repeats some of the awful things she has heard. For this reason, she may be best suited to a home without very young children.

Otis is a male Eclectus who is approximately fifteen years old. He has a history of metal poisoning but has been healed for a number of years now. He does have residual plucking issues as a result of the original metal poisoning – he has feathered up on occasion but will always struggle with feather damaging behaviours. He is an awesome bird and is very friendly and sociable. He is also VERY smart and loves to play games and learn new things.

Sex unknown, Castille is an absolutely beautiful representation of her species – well cared for and in excellent health and feather. Rosellas are aviary birds, which means they are rarely hand tame, and Castille is no different. She does not like to be handled but is otherwise very easygoing. Great for someone who is looking for a splash of colour in their lives.
