We are located in Southern Ontario, Canada with many volunteers able to assist parrots and their owners during emergencies throughout Ontario. The parrot rescue was established in Ontario 7 years ago. Although we have been involved with parots and the avian community for over 30 yrs. We have placed over 400 parrots into new homes during that time as well has saved numerous relationships between parrot and owner to avoid going to a parrot shelter in the first place!
We are passionate about Parrots and want to see every parrot in the best possible surroundings. If that is
your own home or with us. We will work with you to help you understand your parrots needs to try to keep

Please consider placing your bird with us. With our years of experience and ability to help modify
behaviours such as screaming, biting and mutilating we would be the best choice rescue to help with your
parrots needs.
We network with many Canadian and US rescues. Even if you are out of our area we will assist you in
finding a placement for your parrot or direct those looking for parrots to a legitimate rescue as there are so
many scammers out there! Since the closure of Wings of Hope we also have volunteers in the Ottawa and
surrounding area to assist with birds in need from that area. We have volunteers across Ontario from
Ottawa to Sault St Marie and many stops in between. second flight
We can provide emergency long term or short term temporary foster care for those that due to
circumstances must part with their birds for a period of time. The bird will recieve loving care during its time
in foster care. This is where our volunteer foster homes across Ontario help most. In the event of an
emergency our volunteers can help in a pinch! If it is a hospital stay or emergency of any kind that requires
you to be away from you parrot and not getting the care it needs our volutneers will gladly foster your bird
during the time of crisis. We want to ensure that they are kept safe even during emergencies and so that

We play an active role in parrot welfare and will do all we can when there are reports of abuse or neglect. If
you know of any abused or mistreated birds please let us know as we can and will contact the individuals to

We invite anyone to come and visit us before placing your bird with us so that you know the care your parrot
will recieve.
I don't want us to come across as activists but we are concerned for the welfare of birds and there are times
when they get sick or hurt beyond our control. We are only concerned for the parrots welfare and not in
creating problems for individuals. Meaning that we will try to educate those to make sure that they are giving
their parrots proper diet and care. If this is not possible and they want to surrender their parrot over to us we
will ensure that they recieve proper medical treatment and care.
We are an in home care agency so that each and every bird recieves one on one attention by our dedicated
family members and volunteers. The birds require 24 hr attention and plenty of out of cage time which makes
this the ideal setting for parrots. We offer hope and freedom to our winged friends.
They are given the freedom to fly and play most of their days away. Thoses that have flight will be kept safe
although we do prefer to clip the birds wings so they can enjoy the freedom of outdoors. As we grow we are
hoping to include large flights for the parrots.
We have over 30 yrs experience working with problem birds. We will do our best to ensure the comfort and
safety of your parrot.
